Material Thickness Update

Hi guys,

I have question regarding material thickness update. How does eCab update the thickness of the material. If I change it and update it in "Define Stock Material" would that be good enough. Would it still resize the cabinet parts to the correct width depth and height. I am asking that because the job is pretty large and took me a while to make and now as it turns out we have to use 5x10 sheets MDF core instead of plywood core and the difference is about 1/32. Thanks

The short answer is it depends.

If the cabinets aren't complicated (no unconstrained Part Editor cuts), they should resize when you open the cabinet in the Cabinet Editor and regenerate it (go into Construction Settings then click OK). Make sure you save the cabinet after regenerating or the changes will be lost.

Thanks Dan,

I will go through all the cabinets just to make sure that everything is correct. I don't want to risk it and mess up the job. It's way to big and too important. I just ordered 100 sheets of laminate for it with at least 2 weeks back order.

Maybe an easier way with less potential problems. Send the job to the controller with no changes and add sheets the size you need with the add sheet function. You can oversize them no problem.
