DXF to Line Drawer Editor

Post by leigh mills »

I am creating a template in Turbo Cad so I can use the template in the Line Drawing Editor, I sized it up correct in turbo cad but when inputing into drawing editor it was very small, you can hardly see it. I have only just started to create a template, so is this the only way to do. I need to open it for every job so that I can print it with each job.

I may not be opening it correctly within the line drawing editor.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Please send me your template. I will load it here and see if I get the same thing. When you loaded this file did you try pressing the HOME key on your keyboard? You might just need to refresh your screen in LDE. What is the size of this template?

I need to know how big this should be, if it is not the correct size.

When i laod your file and measure it, the part is the correct size. When you bring in the dxf file it looks small on the paper, but zoom the part out, make it "view" bigger, then you can see it better on the screen and it will measure out the same as what you made it.

Your part was drawn up in inches. When you take it in to ecabinets, your settings are metric. If you draw the file in metric first then bring it in to ecabinets you will get the correct size part.
