I use Pocket screws. I ordered a set of the Conestoga cabinets one time just to get some ideas and also because of time constraints. I was not impressed with the plastic clips. I would like to try the Festool Domino Tenon but I would like to hear from someone else that has tried it. For $800.00 I don't want to rush out there and purchase one to try it. My wife has gathered a few thousand dollars worth of misc. hand tools that I never use and she still is asking me why I purchased them. "He who dies with the most toys wins"
I am glad you responded to my post I was just getting ready to buy some of those splines from conestoga.
The biscuit and pocket scew is the winner for now. The festool seems to have the same principle as the plate jointer just inserts a tenon type biscuit. Then again a lamelio can cost up to $800.00.

I have a biscuit jointer but I very rarely use it. I have found that just Titebond II and Pocket screws make it bullet proof. The thing I didn't like about the splines was it didn't seem to pull tight to the case in places. For some people they may work great but not for me. I would think that cutting those splines would be as labor intensive as the pocket holes.
Using Kregg pocket hole, everything done by hand.I like using the plate jointer for location. Doors have not come in yet and the material is being delivered tomorrow.
Finishng up another job today,clean the shop and start all over. Yes I will post pictures of the project when it is finished. Will have to run it in stages do to having a small shop.

I use pocket holes wherever I can because it's accurate/quick. Unfortunately with a fixed shelf or a finished end (without a separate end panel) it's not possible. In those cases I use biscuits. I try to run all my carcass parts through the shaper at one time with a 5/32" slot cutting bit, then the FF parts as I cut/build them. Then glue and clamp.
