Accutrans Help

Post by Damon Nabors »

I downloaded the accutrans 3d software ( paid my fee also). I am not sure exactly what I am doing but when I download a .dxf and save with options and convert to .stl. The new file does not show up. I have read most of the post in the search field about accutrans but can not find a lot of info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Damon

I can go to the file folder but the file is not there. Not sure why. I tried to open up the .stl file in ecab and it wasn't there. I can go back into accutrans and try to resave the file and the folder is empty there also.

Damon,

In Accutranns from the save File Type drop down menu choose Stereo Lithograph (ASCII) , stl
in the right center of this dialog box under Center Point check the Adjust box and then click on Calc below(this makes sure your oject will rotate properly in eCabinets.
Now click the Save button on the bottom left of the dialog box and save the stl file where you can find it.
Open the stl file in the eCabinets Display Part editor, Add texture images then save as a .hsf to use in eCabinets.

that is what I did, but for some reason or another the file will not show up . I can't see the file saved anywhere. It would be different if it just didn't open but I can't see that it is saving the file anywhere.

Nothing really, I was just trying to see how to use the software and was bringing in a random .dxf file to see if I could use it in ecab as a display object.

Hey Damon,

Did you try clicking Start, Search for files and folders and type the name in? Try typing the name without the file extension. I have to do that a lot because programs don't usually make it clear or intuitive where they save things...

BTW, I enjoyed meeting you at IWF, thanks also for the tips on router placement!
