Quadro NVS 320M.
Anybody using this card on there notebooks? If so, how is it?

We've got a few and it works pretty decently, albeit not as well as the Quadro FX series.

The biggest difference you will see is in performance. The Quadro NVS cards are designed for business applications like Word, Excel, accounting packages, etc. and the Quadro FX cards are designed for technical applications like CAD, eCabinets, etc.

What this means is that the NVS series cards look at high-performance graphics required by technical applications almost as an afterthought. They just don't have the number-crunching power you will find in the FX series GPUs.

You might find that your system performs much slower with an NVS as opposed to an FX card because business application-oriented cards very often use system RAM for part of the video RAM. If you look closely at the specs for many cards, they will say something like "128/256MB video RAM". This means the card has 128MB on it and if needed, it will use up to 128MB of system RAM. I'm not sure whether the NVS uses shared RAM or not as the technical specs are pretty sparse.

Now, having said all of that, on a notebook you might not notice that much difference anyway. Notebook computers, even true workstation-class systems, just don't have the same computing power that a desktop does. If you currently use a workstation-class desktop computer and switch to a comparable workstation-class notebook, you will see big differences in performance.

If I were using a notebook in an onsite situation (customer location), I would restrict it to showing JPGs or PDFs of the finished rendering--a sales presentation--rather than try to design in front of the customer.

Talk about desktop computers
I would like to get a new one before I go in next week I say my old computer is why I drink so mush coffee
It takes so long to render and I can go get more coffee

Could someone tell me what computer to get Dell,HP and what I sure have in it to run e-cabinets nice.
I do not know that much about desktop computers

Just think if you help me you would be helping me to STOP drinking coffee that mush

I have been using eCabinets since 3.1 and over the years have tried a number of computer configurations. I am currently using the following desktop and laptop configurations with great success:
