To fix: Go into C:\program files\thermwood\ecabinet systems and double click the ecabupdate.exe file. Once update finished, should be able to open eCabinets.
Todd sorry but no luck. I just finished uninstalling eCabinet from my computer. I will try reloading the software from the disk tomorrow. Then hopefully the "auto update" from Thermwood will get me back up and running. As a back up though I requested the newest release from them on disk. I think my current build may have been too old to update correctly? It had been awhile since I updated the software and as we all know "Momma" wanted a new built-in for an unfinished bath and wanted to see how it looked prior to building it. Hopefully tomorrow will go well and if not hopefully my mail lady will get here soon!
Neal,
You may want to download the update via the link below. Save this to your desktop. After it is done downloading, you will be asked to "RUN", do not run, but select cancel. Then run from your desktop by double clicking. You will need another reg code, and it looks as if you have already generated another one. Let me know if you need any more help.
It's Neal again. I tried to install 5.2 on my other workstation and after uninstalling all previous versions I was able to get to 5.1 and now when I try to run eCabinet it is telling me to contact ya'll. I tried downloading the link again that you posted for me. All that did was run the install and it came up to remove the 5.2. I requested another reg code and am going to try resetting my reg code and see if that does any thing.
I tried the new code and the reset and that allowed me to run 5.1 one time. It ran the update and when It exited and I reopen the software it gave me the String Table error??????
I requested a new code for tomorrow but I have exceeded the number allotted.
you will need to download the file Todd Linked to earlier. Make sure you save it to your desktop. When you run it the first time it may come up to the unistall 5.2 if you allowed ecabinets to do automatic updates. this is not a problem. allow it to unistall version 5.2 update. Once it has finished, you can run the update again and it will reinstall it correctly.
I guess that there is a problem with my computer. Ver 5.1 worked fine but since I have tried to update to 5.2 I can not seem to get that to work. It is working fine on one work station but not on the other. I have requested a new disk but I really do not think that it is the disk because it worked on the other computer.
I removed the software and tried to reinstall but it keeps giving me the string table error. I called and requested a reg code due to exceeding my email allotment.

Important: Save this update to your desktop. When it is done downloading you will be asked to run the update. Do not run the update. Cancel out of the download screen. Goto your desktop and double click the update icon to install.
But to clarify I have run uninstall from windows control panel, so I am going to place the cd in and just let it run and install eCabinet. I am not going to do anything till it stops and asks for the reg code, I have been adding the code at the 5.0 prompt? This may be where I am making my mistakes.
Hopefully this will get the other machine running.
Thank you in advance
