Bad tenons with part editor cut

Post by Damon Nabors »

Has anyone run into this problem. This is the second time this has happened to me on a part that has a part editor cut with a flip op. I left a skin around the center disk so that I would have better hold down plus I used dbl sided tape to make sure the part did not move. Everything was going well until the flip operation, I placed the part on the table for the flip op, it cut the tenons and then came back with this ramp in movement and then came behind the ramp in and milled another grove behind the ramp in. It did it on two sides of this part and then there is one other part on the same cabinet that had the same problem. Luckily this part will not be seen so no problem, I am just curious what is going on with the part.

Here is the cabinet. It is a vent hood cabinet that gets skinned with bead board. I have cut several of these with no problems. The only difference is, I programmed the cutout for the vent hood motor and the pipe to come out the top. Without the part editor cuts, it will cut fine.

Damon,
Did you try the file that Justin sent you? We were just wondering if this ever got resolved. Let us know if you are still having problems. Thanks Damon.

I never did, I just made the one I had work. It was getting skinned with bead board so the tenons did not show anyway, I was just currious as to why they looked the way they did.

I will cut one of the parts this weekend and try it.
