Tool Life Expired?
Ok, so I'm a little green when it comes to CNC stuff. My tool life expired and deleted all the settings, I went through and put in the values i knew i for sure: tool length, diameter, and daylight; but when the head starts to drop to cut it stays about 8 inches above the material I'm trying to cut. I tried changing the daylight, but it didn't do anything. any help would be greatly appreciated...
Re: Tool Life Expired?
Adam,
Usually when you get this error you can set the "Life left" dialog box to 999. BTW this box is located in your tool table. As for the cutter being 8" from where it is supposed to be, you may try setting up your Daylight value again and remeasure your tools.
How are you writing the CNC code? Are you using Mastercam? Control Nesting? Manually? Let me know or give us a call 1-800-221-3865.
