Machine Owners - Non Machine Owners-Production sharing users
I am curious about the ratio of forum users that are Machine owners, Non Machine owners and Then those of you that take advantage of the Production Sharing option on a regular basis.

It looks like we need to add "Spectator to the list". 50 views and 22 votes.
Come on guys and gals, lets get an accurate count. I know there is more than 8 non machine owners on this forum.

I think the "Views" will be inaccurate Damon. I voted once and viewed the post three times.

I think you missed at least one choice - those who use production sharing occasionally. For me it's usually not convenient to use the production sharing because the local Thermwood shops are a bit out of the way. If there were shops closer to me I would use them more often. If the local guys offered a delivery service that would also get me to use them more often. I'm not sure that it would work out cost wise to have stuff shipped to me from a distance.

Re: Machine Owners - Non Machine Owners-Production sharing users
Joe and Rick,
Your both correct. The reason I posted the poll was to see who is more active on the forum. I find it hard to believe that only 8 or 9 people so far are non machine owners. I would have thought the non machine owners would have out weight the machine owners. For some reason or another it's kind of like the elections, people don't want to go to the polls.
I think kerry was having a similar problem with his poll last week.
Thanks for the replies so far.

Sorry to skew the poll results Damon and Kerry. If time allows, I view these threads a few times a day to see if anything new is happening.

Hey Damon. Maybe this should of been broken down into two polls to show how many non-machine owners there are that do not utilize production sharing.
As it stands, you can only select one option. (which makes sense)

Oh yea, after thinking a minute, you are really asking two different questions.
And...after thinking for a minute, I need to take a break.

Jon,
I can feel your pain. I try not to think too much, it just clutters up the brain.
The one that surprises me the most are the members that have not tried production sharing. ONLY 3.

We have, but not on a regular basis. So my vote was not for production sharing.

Re: Machine Owners - Non Machine Owners-Production sharing users
I voted as a non machine owner, but we also have never used production sharing. We have a small shop so we can handle, in house, all our work at this time.
Hopefully next year some time we will be purchasing a Thermwood cnc.
As far as the fewer votes and many more views, I think that those who are interested in the poll and have voted keep coming back to see any changes.
