Dimensioning a layout

Post by Don Nichelson »

I am able to get dimensions when I take an assembly or even a wall to LDE. Sometimes I cannot get the nodes to line up with the edge of the faceframe and don't get the right dimensions. I zoomed in but this only helps a little. If I have the align to back set not all of the cabinets are associating to the wall and I have to go back and manually associate each one to a wall. Why is this? Also I am able to take a wall to the LDE most of the time but it seems on some walls I am not allowed to do that. The option is not availalble. From the elevation view I click on LDE and I have the option to take assembly.....and then sometimes there is the option to take the wall which is what I want. Can anyone help here?

For the last part of your question, you probably have something selected when you right-click and it shows "take assembly."
