For those of you raising center panels on your Thermwood, which brand of cutters are you using that work with the side entry bar style tool holders? I was looking at the Amana #RC-4003 but it's overall diameter is 4.409" which means it will hit the vertical bar as it's inserted into the tool holder.
I need a slant profile with a 15degree angle, if you happen to know of a manufacturer that offers a tool with a smaller diameter.
If I could put a spacer between the plastic tool holder and the vertical bar, I could gain clearance. What have you guys & girls done?
Thanks,

Your offsets for loading and unloading a tool can probably be changed. If I remember correct you had a 5' wide machine which means you should have the side clearance you need.
Forrest, yep, I'm in GA now! Beaches, sun, warm weather! Jim Williams, Unique Building Supplies bought my machine and hired me on as the GM. The market in VA completely dried up.
I found out from programming that the yaxis distance the machine moves to insert the tool and the raise z-axis after picking up the tool is hardcoded into the plc. So, it appears to be impracticle to change it. Looks like the only solution is to do a manual tool change when ever we want to use a larger diameter tool.
Forrest, are you making raised center panels on your machine? If so, what cutter are you using?
