Associating cabs to walls

Post by Terry Hall »

Anybody else having difficulty associating cabinets to walls? I never had any problems until a few days ago. I click the wall, click the cabinet, click on the associate icon and go to the elevation view and nothing there. I think something has changed. When I do it now the box comes up and says wall a or d, I thought it used to come up and say wall 1, 2, or 3. Am I wrong about that? Thanks in advance.

Terry,

The A and D are just hot keys for the Associate and Disassociate commands. I just tried to associate a cabinet to a wall and had no problem. Did you single left click the wall and then the cabinet before selecting the Associate/Disassociate Items button? After doing this when you hover over the cabinet does it show an association to a wall in the popup?

Okay, gotcha on the hotkeys and thanks. Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing, and yes it says associated with either one or two walls, but the cabinets do not show up when I go to the elevation view. :wall:

I wanted to check to see if you have had any more problems with the association of cabinets to walls. If so you can call or email me.
