saving text box in LDE

Post by Brian Nichols »

I'd like to creat a text box that I can apply to all my elevations in the line drawing editor. I've played around some but not luck. Thanks Brian

How did you create it? If it is a DXF file you can load it into the LDE...just click the folder icon and browse to the file location.

I use the insert table icon in the LDE. Is there a better why?

The easiest way is to create a DXF file of your text block and add it to your drawings. There are a couple of examples somewhere in the forum--just search for "title block" and you should find them.

You can also save a job with only the drawing that has the text box then make a copy of that job to start each new job.

Brian, a DXF file of a title block can be made up in a cad program ( Autocad, etc ) then saved. It can then be imported to the LDE when needed. If you do not have a Cad based program, let me know and I will help you with this.

I found 66 threads containing "title block." Make sure you place a plus sign (+) before each required word in the search terms (+title +block).

Here are links to a couple of those threads:
