Re: Excell / Open Office Question
It should as long as you use the current or earlier Excel format when the file is saved in Open Office. For example, an open Office file saved for Excel 2007 and you try to open it with Excel 2003, it will not work. If, however, if it is saved for Excel 2003 and you open it with Excel 2007, it will work.

Re: Excell / Open Office Question
Thanks Dan,
Open Office does not give Excell as an option to save as, my wife is involved with the CERT (community, emergency, responce team) and she is putting together a purchase order for a practice dummy, this thing cost over $1000.00 . Anyway she is sending this to the coordinator and she can't open the form.
Sorry my misunderstanding my wife tells me that it's a purchase order form that someone emailed her.

Re: Excell / Open Office Question
What options does it have? What version do you have?

Re: Excell / Open Office Question
We have the most recent version of Open Office, but the purchase order form wound up being a Microsoft Word Doc. So everything is working fine . If you prepaire something in Open Office it does allow you to save it as an Excell you were right.
Thanks
Gary
