We had a big ouch today. Cutting 1 1/2" thick material was a great opportunity to use the new multiple pass feature, and it worked great. What didn't work so good was the fact that it tried to clean up the off-fall in one pass, which plunged beyond the flutes on the bit, ruining a (of course) brand new 3/8 bit and burning the collett as the router ground to a halt... Crossing my fingers hoping it didn't damage anything else.
Did we miss something in the settings concerning trimming the off-fall in multiple passes, or was this overlooked when the multiple-pass feature was added?
Thanks!
