Post by tony bento »

Hello All,

Does anyone know, why after d/l and installing the latest update , it still shows build 3 in the software. I just installed and its showing build 3 in the Help menu.Shouldn't it say build 4?

Can you post the steps you are doing to down load?

Are you running Vista or XP?

Are you installing it from the Communications menu in the software?

Good morning all,
Yes I'm running Vista . The update won't download from the communications menu.I manually d/l and ran setup. If I remember corectly build 3 installed without any problems. The software works, except yesterday,it asked me to put in the code.

So did you save the update to the desk top, then go to the desktop and install the update, make sure you run as administrator.

You have to make sure that eCabinets is shut down before you run the update. The update must be downloaded and saved somewhere on your computer. To install the update with Vista you must first right click on the update icon on your computer, select run as administrator. Follow the steps to install. If it prompts you to remove the update go ahead and select remove. It will do this if it thinks the update was already installed, due to running it from the website. Once this is finished you will right click on the update again, run as administrator and this time it will prompt you to install. When the installation is complete, you will need to right click on the eCabinet Systems icon on your desktop and select run as administrator. This should ask you to verify your reg code and then open eCabinets. If this would not open eCabinets you will need to contact me for further instructions to install the update. Thank You.
