I am running xp pro with pent 4 3.6 ghz . 2.99ghz and 2gb ram. I can go to another job and the render works. This job is kitchen remodel of an existing center island and making it longer. I built the outside walls and placed cabinets in the middle of the room and associated them with one wall and I do an elevation view it works fine but when I do a render it crashs.

What you might want to do is post the project file so that we can see if it acts the same on our machines.
