Red cam holes on nest

Hi there, we use cams fitted to the bottom of our shelves. Now the problem is, when my boss adds his shelves in ecabs on his computer and we nest the job, all the cam holes come out as blue outline on the nest. However, when i run a job on my computer all of my cam holes come out on the nest as being red outlines, and the Thermwood CNC does not like it.

Any simple way of solving this?

We both have the same libraries, and the same boring pattern associated for the cam holes

I have seen the red holes for the cams before, but it only seemed to happen when I had Part Editor holes in the same piece. The results on the CNC were not good. It would drill the PE holes fine, but it would leave a peg in the center of the cam holes. I ended up just leaving out the PE holes since I could not get the situation resolved in the Nest. I didn't want to have the panels screwed up if the machine could not handle it.

Hi guys,
I am having this same problem with the deck of a cabinet I am working on. Has anyone found a work around for this? I will be machining this on a router which is 3 hours drive from where I am sitting right now so I need to make sure its right. I am also seeing the same issue with an adjustable shelf which I have put some slots in the bottom to sit over the top of shelf pins.
I am wondering if this is simply a compatibility issue with Vista as I have had to revert to using my wifes computer.

Do you have Part Editor edits on it Paul? It seems to be directly linked to Part Editor edits on a part with KD holes.

Hi Dan,
The parts that are showing the red cam holes don't have any part edits at all. However, this cabinet does have a few part edits on other parts... I wonder if it could still be linked?
Does anyone know if these red cm holes will still cut without crashing the router? Or does it simply just leave a little bit in the middle of the hole?

My experience was that there was a dowel in the middle of the cam holes. When it happened to me the guy who was doing the processing stopped the machine. I then removed the PE holes, we re-nested and generated a new TWD file and all was well for the cam holes. I did not get my PE holes drilled.

Were the part editer holes on the same part as the cams or just the same cabinet?
