printing line drawing files

Post by Dale Nelson »

I have had the software for a few months now, but I am just getting around to using it.

When I save from the custom layout window to the line drawing window the walls seem to scale down. I thought this would be a setting issue with my printer, but i don't see a way to scale it with my printer software.

I created an assembly and when I take it to the line drawing window it is larger than the printing area.

I am hoping that I need to change a setting somewhere and I'll be good.

Also is there any way to save a file as PDF? Can I save an individual drawing as a file? It seems that the whole job gets saved when I try to do this.

Thanks for your help.

Dale ,

If you are talking about the the line drawing editor, you can select the layout that is inside the square hold down the shift key and both right and left buttons on the mouse then move the mouse toward you and the lay out will inlarge.
It will only print what is inside the large square .

As for the PDF file I know nothing about that sorry.

Welcome aboard Dale, while in the LDE click the Select Assembly Mode button, that will allow you to highlight the assembly (turn green) from there while holding the Shift key and the mouse keys you can drag the mouse to the desired size. You can also Rotate. If you need Section Views use the Select Cabinet Part Mode, that will allow you to select individual parts that you can hide (right click menu > Hide). You will need PDF writing software to save as a PDF. If you have software, the save as PDF should show up in your printer selection. HTH

I'm using Primo PDF. Works great (downloadable from the net free-Kerry put me on to it) and yes you can save individual pages as a PDF.
