Check out this memorial marker for a Civil War soldier that is to be dedicated Saturday. On the marker, carved in stone, it says he was a member of the "Jos E Johnson Camp." If only the well-meaners had checked the base of a statue of the General in the middle of town they would have known that his name is JohnsTon and not Johnson.
I hope the same geniuses aren't in charge of making a headstone for me when the time comes...
Dan I can imagine how you would feel if the "genius" carves yours as "Epz".
Same old story,.... do the paperwork. Mine is all pre-done and on file.
Hopefully, that will avoid mine reading "Waltz", but one can never be completely protected against
idiots. They live amongst us.
regards,
Reminds me of a few years ago, the insurance cards for my cars had my last name mis-spelled... instead of two F's, there were two T's. Lots of fun was had with that one!
I can only hope the same folks won't be in charge of my tombstone...
