I'm trying to make hole patterns for some slides (Accurides) - pretty easy, except the X-Y axes are used differently for different types of hardware (hinges are different than KD hardware). In the "Ecabinetsystems Made Easy" manual, there's a pretty decent explanation of hole patterns. Of course, the manual doesn't cover slides. It says "look at the Area Overview" for a breakdown of how to use the X-Y axes for different hardware. What area overview? Any clues on where I can find this info?
I know, buy the book - it's on my wishlist.
Thanks for the help - Jason

Re: Another hole pattern question
There's a pretty good explanation in the Help Menu, search "Hole Patterns". Once you start doing it there's nothing to it. Are you getting these holes machined, or to set up a jig? The Accuride website has the dimensions you need (System 32)
Re: Another hole pattern question
The hole patterns for the slide are drawn to the right of the Y axis or Quadrant I. The Y axis is the front of the cabinet and Quadrant I is the cabinet end.
When you install a drawer with a drawer slide there is a question about "Slide Distance from Bottom". If you draw the holes for the slide pattern exactly on the X axis (Y0) and the "Slide Distance" is set to zero, the holes will be drawn centered at the bottom of the drawer box. If you draw the hole pattern at Y19 (mm) and the "Slide Distance" is zero, the holes will be positioned 19mm from the bottom of the drawer box. So you have a couple of choices. Draw the holes at Y0, then set a distance value for the slide. The other is to draw the holes at the specified distance from the bottom of the slide, then if you specify a distance of 0 the resulting holes will position the bottom of the slide exactly at the bottom of the drawer box. Or if you specify a distance of 1" or 25.4mm, the bottom of the slide will be up 1" from the bottom of the slide.
If you go to the C:\Program Files\Thermwood\Patterns\Standard there are plenty of examples for hinges, slides and kd fasteners. In the case of slides, some are drawn at zero and some at the mid-point of the slide. But in all cases for the slides, every hole that was indicated on the manufacturer's template has been drawn. In some cases, you might actually see close to 30 holes on a drawer slide. You'll need to delete the ones you don't use.

The "Area Overview" is the context-sensitive help in eCabinets (hit F1 or click the big red ? on the menu bar).

Re: Another hole pattern question
Thanks gentlemen - I realized I was doing it correctly, except I left out the depth setting, so no holes appeared. Also I was able to find the placement info in the help menu, thanks Rick and Dan. Sometimes I find the help menu is not so helpful - kinda disjointed and sparse. I'm never sure where to go for the info - the help menu, the big red "?", or the "ecab made easy" manual. It's a scavenger hunt.
Thanks much everyone - Jason
