To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222 .
It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.. It takes about 20 seconds.

It appears that his is a rather virulent hoax that has been going around for a couple of years.

I checked on this and if you go to:

http://www.donotcall.gov

You can register your phone numbers (Cell and Home) and block these types of calls. Remember though you can still be contacted by not for profits , churches , companies you contacted for information and politicians (Joy Joy)

Don't do that. We have that in Canada and some companies out of the country buy the phone list nd now you get calls from crooks of other country. I did register and now I get more calls then before.
