Error message

Post by Jeff Christenson »

Hello, I am getting an error message while trying to open an existing job. The message reads " There was an error after opening the JOB file". I have windows XP with 4gb ram. Have been running Ecabs very successfully for years. I cannot open any jobs at all in the custom layout room. I cant even open the job I created just an hour ago. I have tried to restart the compute. Until this is fixed, ecabs is useless. Thank you.

Jeff, check to make sure your path to where the jobs are saved is correct. If that doesn't help, try to post a job as Gary was saying to see if someone else can open it.

I tried to send the job file but appears it was to big to load. How would I check to see if it was the correct path?. What I think you mean by sending the job file is this, I was in the reply window on this site and clicked the browse button. I went to the Thermwood folder and opened it up. Then opened the ecabinets folder, then clicked the Rimkus job and clicked add file. It took a long time to load, I then got a message about a big file size. I had to go back to the forum to get this message out. A few minutes ago I tried to open the job and it did load. But while trying to print an image the program stopped responding. Now it wont load again.

Thank you!
