Hinge Plate Holes Wrong Depth

Post by Nat Wheatley »

On the attached 45 degree wall cabinet, the holes for the hinge plate screws are showing up (and drilling) at a depth of 3.04mm. The hole pattern that generates them has their depth set at 12.5mm. Have I got another setting off that's causing this? Thanks.

Hi Nat

I have just run a job where some of the hinge plate holes have drilled shallow and some at the correct depth, just like your case. I have checked the drawings and nest and the hole depths are mixed which is strange as I am applying the same hole pattern which I have checked to be the correct depth. I find that the solution is to re apply the hinge pattern in the door editor.

Thanks Nick,

I did try that, but will try it again.

This is the only cabinet that I use this hinge on, so if reapplying the hole pattern doesn't fix it, I could cheat the depth of the hole pattern, so that the actual drilling depth is correct.

Are you guys using a drill bank or a single drill in the main spindle, if your using a drill bank and auto measure, you have to copy and paste your measured tool daylight into the other drill bank settings.
