Osbourne Wood new CD
I got this in my mag today and was wondering if and how we could use the STL files that are on it. I tried to save one but it just gives me a Trust Certificate and won't let me do anything else. Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Re: Osbourne Wood new CD
Wally,
Have you went to the Osbourne Wood Products web page, there you will find all the products in stl, but I think you have to down load the dxf mesh and convert it to stl to get the object to rotate properly.
If you do a search I think Kerry has already converted all their products to stl.

Sounds like you are double-clicking the STL file to open it...that will cause the trust cert thing. Try opening the file in the Display Part Editor after copying it to your hard drive.Wally Schneeberger wrote:I got this in my mag today and was wondering if and how we could use the STL files that are on it. Wally,
You will have to open the .stl files in the Display Part Editor and then save them as .hsf files before you can use them in eCabinets.

Re: Osbourne Wood new CD
Thanks guys -- I was able to copy the CD to a folder and just drag and drop to my Import file and open in Display Part Editor and save as an HSF but they are huge. How do you get it to the proper size???
TIA.
TIA.

Wally,
When you open them in the Display Part Editor you can click on Scale Object and change the size if it is wrong then save it as an hsf.

I tried that before Kerry. I set it to 20% and preserve aspect and it didn't seem to change anything.

Forget it Kerry -- They are the right size when I bring them into a plan but they look huge in DPE and Sample HSFs. Thanks again.!!
