Choice for Sheet Flip Ops on Fewest Sheets??

We are running CN 5.49 and the update flip op feature being able to flip the whole sheet is great. The only negative that we are finding is that each job will nest the flip ops on different sheets to perform the best yield. This is great if you are just looking at your yield. Is there any chance that there could be an option to combine the flip ops onto the fewest sheets?

Just a thought. I'd like to see how it is working for everyone else.

We considered this option when we implemented the flip ops first feature. Unfortunately there is not a straight forward method for implementing this with our nesting library. We will consider this as an enhancement in the future.

I must say that having this capability is a vast improvement over the individual flip ops. We were planning on doing everything possible to stay away from flip ops the previous way, so being able to flip the whole sheet is great! What we are finding is that most of the parts that have flip ops are drawer sides, so being that they are small, they get nested in where they can fit. This creates the issue of having a flip op on multiple sheets as opposed to just 1 or 2. Not the end of the world!!!!!

I think that's a fantastic idea, and I haven't even upgraded to 5.5 yet.
Can anyone tell me - do I have the OPTION to flip the whole sheet OR do it the old fashioned way (one at a time)?
How does the router know the reference is clean and everything lines up when the sheet is flipped over?
Does it trim the outer perimeter of the whole sheet on the 'first' machining side then when flipped it's got a clean reference against....pins? G902 flip bracket? How does this all work?
Sounds like a vast improvement allright!

The Flip Ops First option can be turned on or off. When off the old way is used.

The sheet is trimmed to insure it is square. There are 3 options for trimming.

This sounds like a time saver to me. With the option "on" - is the sheet fliped in the same manner as individual parts are?

Hi Ray:
The sheets are flipped on the Y axis. The option to trim the sheet just at the pin locations works great.
