How to see door material...

Post by Jason Gooch »

Hi, this has been an issue for awhile, I'm just finally checking to see if anyone has a suggestion - in cabinet editor, when I mouse over slab doors and the info window pops up, it doesn't include the material the door is made of. Is there any simple way of viewing this? I've been running into this when a door's been changed from prefinished maple to a-1 maple - I can't see the difference until I nest the job or run a cut list.

Thanks much - Jason

I think your only current option at this time is to name the slab door something that indicates your material, like PF Maple or A1 Maple.

Hmm, hadn't thought of that.... Although, say fr'instance I name that thing "PF Maple", then the client says I want it A-1 maple. I change all the doors in custom layout - presumably it's going to keep the same part name, unless I delete or rename it, correct? Could be more misleading....

Ultimately it's probably more of a operator issue I suppose. Maybe I need to do more crosswords or memory games....

Thanks Joe - Jason
