Importing hardware DB

Hi folks

I need to migrate the hardware database form my old laptop to my new one.

I tried exporting to CSV then importing it and that didn't work at all.

any ideas

Bryan,

Use the Backup and Restore feature in eCabinets. Back up the files you want on the first computer and then restore those files to the new. Pay attention to the directory paths on both computers.

Just i thought, shouldn't I be able to import a CSV file into the hardware database?

If I can't is it a bug? Or is it me?

Bryan,

The Import/Export is for Pricing only. You cannot import products in this manor. This feature was designed to help you better adjust pricing for your items by allowing you to manipulate the data with Access or Excel.
