BOARD STOCK ADJ. SHELF FACING
I face my adjustable shelves with with board stock for rigidity. I'm new to ecabs and have watched a good many of the training videos but have yet to see anything that shows how to accomplish what i want. I need a way to add 1x2 facing to my adjustable shelves. I tried adding stretchers but that only allows for sheetmaterial to be used so i stopped there. I tried doing it in the FF editor but then i can't get them to inset to the shelves. I would appreciate any input or ideas if anyones run into this before. Thanks.

Michael,

Are you trying to add this to the front edge of the shelf like edge banding? Or are you trying to do something different? If it is edge banding, have you tried to use the edge banding editor and add a new size of banding stock?Michael Townes wrote:I face my adjustable shelves with with board stock for rigidity. Yes i tried to add it as edge banding and i added 1x2 board stock to the edge banding material list and then installed it. Problem was that it shrunk the board stock to the thickness of the shelf as if it was edge banding that would be flush cut.

Michael,
Try this attached cabinet.
I deleted everything but the deck and bottom rail of the face frame. They are attached using blind dado construction.
