I'm using a blind dado construction on the front edge of my cabinet ends with no inset to attach my face frame. But the option for the back edge of the end is also set to blind dado and greyed out so I can't change it to but joint which is what i want. Any suggestions?
Take the Std Base Framed cabinet from the Standard Cabinets Library into the cabinet editor. Go to Construction Settings and pick the Right End tab. Change the Front Construction to BlindDado and click OK. So far, so good. Now go back to Construction Settings, Right End and click Right End Construction Parameters. Click Apply and OK. Click OK to close Construction Settings. Tenon appears on back edge.
I just discovered the short version. Go to Construction Settings and pick the Right End tab. Change the Front Construction to BlindDado and click OK. Now go back to Construction Settings, Right End. Construction for the Back has changed to BlindDado.
I don't see the back edges of the top, left, right, and deck set to blind dado. They are all set to butt, which is what you want - ? I must not be understanding the problem. Can you elaborate a little more?

Josh - the problem is the bliind dado on the back of the cab. Ifyou look at the construction settings for the left and right end it shows a blind dado construction for the front and back edge. I want a blind dado on the front with no inset, which i have. I don't want it on the back but if i go to the construction settings for either end the drop down for the back edge is greyed out so that i can't change it to butt joinery.
Kenneth - Thanks! That fix worked. The odd thing is that after doing it if i have to go back to the right or left end settings for anything the rabbets come right back. I can get around this because i dont have anything left to do to the sides. But I'm clueless as to why this is happening and if it's something I'm doing during the cabinet build I'd like to figure out what so i can avoid it.
