2 door cabinet both hinges are the same? Why

I'm not sure if we are a bit fanatical but we we use two different thickness hinge plates and sometimes different hinge opening angles eg 105 or 175. On a 2 door cabinet it maybe due to going next to a drawer bank on the left side and right side it is against a wall scribe.
It would be handy if you could edit the default hinge plate so if you want a 0mm thick or 3mm thick you change this on the fly. Same with hinges if your default hinge is 105 degree opening but because of a access issue on one side you go for a 175 degree hinge, you can do use this quickly.
I think keeping the door sizes working on the default hinge plates to stop it getting confusing. What I was thinking was the drill pattern for the hinge plate have a couple of phantom extra holes that indicate what plates they are. Say one hole for 0mm thickness or 3 shallow holes for 3mm. I just hope I don't use a 12mm plate. These phantom holes would be hidden by the plate.

I may be the only one who think this would be useful. Maybe if you think it would be a handy feature add your name. I guess a poor response will indicate to the programmers its a stupid idea.

Sorry if i misunderstand you.

Can't you select a door in the door editor, the change the hinge or hinge mount, then select the little down arrow to the left and choose 'apply to selected parts'?

As for your phantom holes, can't you assign hole patterns per hardware item. Wouldn't you be able to create patterns as you state?

Please correct me if I've misunderstood you.

I hope you are right on this one. I am away from my Ecabinets computer to test but I thought you were unable to pick a door on a two door cabinet and then change hardware for that door only.

You are on the same track as me with the hinge plate drill holes. You add some .5mm deep holes to indicate what plate should be used.

If you are correct that will also make the hardware quantity spot on. I will have the correct number of 105. 175 degree hinges and the correct 0mm thick plates and 3mm thick plates.

I have to thank you for this one. I am modifying my hinge bore patterns to include a 10mm hole (mark) .06 deep with a 5mm mark (also .06 deep) in either the 3 oclock, 6 oclock or 9 oclock (and maybe for you the 12 oclock) positions to denote the proper plate. I will leave the zero plate unmarked. These marks are centered on the 5mm system screw holes and will be covered by the plate. Thanks! You're the man!

Hey Gary, Glad I could help. I'm all for taking out the thinking ability especially with some of my junior apprentices. Off with the fairies some times. At least with this idea they don't even have to look at the plans to see what plates to use. Actually I'm not sure if they do look at the plans anyway.
How about posting a picture of what you have achieved. I'm sure others will be interested.

Here is what I have so far. I haven't tested to see if the pattern shows up as "handed" when it goes to the nest. This would swap 3's and 9's from right doors to left on the same pattern. I dont use 3's. I may just use the mark for 9's. Thought I would throw this out to be batted around by others with like interests.

Here is a shot of the marks. I intend to place these between hinge bores at .06" deep similar to my assembly marks. What is shown is 2 hinge bores top and bottom. In between is a 10mm bore (used for levelers) with 4 5mm bores in the 0,3,6,9 and/or 12 o clock positions that could be used to denote a specific offset hinge plate. neither bore size is critical, as I picked ones allready in use on the machine. The 10mm and one 5mm would be added to each hinge plate in the proper place.
