Problem placing cabinets in plan view

Post by Jason Gooch »

Hi folks - when I'm in plan view of custom layout, if I try to place a cabinet next to another one on a wall, the cabinet that's already on the wall gets ejected out of the room. This happens when I try to place them "aligned to back" or "free style". Unfortunately, like most things, this appears to be intermittent - I just tried to duplicate the issue and it's now working just fine. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm working in 5.2build6.

Thanks - Jason

Hi - I realized I never got any feedback on this, and figured I'd throw it out there again - has anyone ever experienced this stuff?

Thanks - Jason

Jason,

I assume that since this was brought back up, that you have found a job at least that will reproduce this error. If so, could you post the exact steps to make it happen from scratch, or at least a simple job that will allow it to happen.

aaargh.... thanks for the reply Ryan, of course now I can't get it to happen. And I can't recall any particular unusual sequence of events that led up to it. So I'll have to get back to you, once I can get some better documentation. I can tell you the symptoms - placing a cabinet in plan view, an adjacent cabinet will be relocated outside the room. Sometimes the relocated cabinet will stay in the room, but some distance away and occasionally buried inside another cabinet, so it's difficult to find.

I know that wasn't much help - I'll get back with more info as soon as I'm able.

Thanks - Jason.
