CHANGE MATERIALS FOR AN ENTIRE ROOM

Post by Michael Townes »

I'm a rookie and I've watched most of the training vids and searched the posts and haven't figured out a way to change the material on an entire job from custom layout. Is there a way to do this? I downloaded one of the cabinet libraries that used the blind dado construction method and butt joint ff but everything is painted. I built an entire kitchen using these because it's the same construction method I use and didn't intend to use it for any more than a material estimate initially. Now I'd like to use it to show the client but their kitchen will be done in alder. Can I change the sheet goods and board stock all at once for the entire kitchen? Thanks ahead of time for your respnses.

Michael, in custom layout, right click and key "S", then "C", that will select all cabinets. From there go to your fly-out menu on the right of your screen and select Adj. Features. that gives you a list of different items you can change. Sheet goods can be changed in the right click menu by selecting Change Materials. Hope this helps.

Rick,
Your a freaking lifesaver. For hours I've tried to find a way to do that short of changing each individual cabinet and you come through with something that took mere seconds. That was so simple I feel like a moron but i guess that comes with learning something like this from scratch. Again I cant thank you enough.
