KD/RTA hole pattern
Hi, I am trying to associate a new hole pattern to the kd/rta hardware but it doesn't seem to be taking the new hole pattern I associate it with. I am running v6 build2 and have not had this problem before I updated to v6. I have done this a few ways. Changing the rta hole pattern before I do anything to the standard cabinet, after I have added rta to the back of the cabinet, saving it then bringing it back and changing it again. There doesn't seem to be a way to make this work. It says that it has changed to hole pattern but the holes have not been changed. If there is anyone who can help me on this, I am out of ideas.

Justin,
Can you post the cabinet and the hole pattern that you are trying to associate to it?

I can't seem to attach the hole pattern. Is there something I don't know?

I didn't realize it, but it looks like hole pattern extensions can't be uploaded.
Try uploading the cabinet and tell us what hole pattern you are using or if you modified an existing one, then how did you modify it?

Re: KD/RTA hole pattern
I have created my own hole pattern. I am just trying to apply it to the std. upper frameless cabinet. This hole pattern works on my seed cabinets that I had saved before I updated to v6. I'll load one of those so you can get the hole pattern from there. It just seems to not be working when I want to add this hole pattern in v6. It worked fine in v5.

You can zip the hole pattern to post it if you wish.

Re: KD/RTA hole pattern
Justin,
I downloaded your cabinet with the hole pattern and when I brought it into the cabinet editor the hole pattern was shown on the back of the backer. Is that what you were looking for?
Did you by any chance regenerate this cabinet in the current version by opening the Construction settings and then clicking OK?

Re: KD/RTA hole pattern
Yes I want my rta holes to be on the back side of the back. Yes I have regenerated this cabinet in the new v6. What would that do to my hole pattern?

Re: KD/RTA hole pattern
I think I figured out my problem. I just needed to click on the little down arrow right beside my hole pattern once I have associated it to the kd/rta setting. Then click on "apply to selected parts". This did it, my hole pattern was changed. Why doesn't it change once I have associated my hole pattern, why do I have to click on apply to selected parts for it to take?

The need to regenerate is because the previous build had some hole association issues that were supposed to be fixed in build 2. By regenerating, the current cabinets settings will be updated.Justin Friesen wrote:Yes I want my rta holes to be on the back side of the back. Yes I have regenerated this cabinet in the new v6.
