over sized back joinery

Post by David Egnoski »

I'm interested to hear how others are doing cabinet backs where the cabinet is wider than the sheet material. If there is a partition, the back can be broken there. But how do you handle joinery to the sides, top and bottom when cutting the parts on a router? Can you add joinery to a display panel? I don't think so.

All ideas are welcome.

David.

Use insets on the back to do one half then use a stretcher to make the other half. The stretcher will create your joinery.
