Double pass ramp cut

Post by Josh Rayburn »

Good morning,
I am still running CN 5.48:
I've noticed when a max pen is set on a tool, the ramp is not overcut on the first pass. This can be a handy feature for double passing manually nested DXF parts - on a pre-nested sheet. However, at the most crucial part of the second pass, (the through cut which removes the skin from the first pass) the ramp down from the first pass is still there, creating more tool load and ultimately results in parts moving around at the end of the cut.
I was wondering if this has been addressed in the latest version of CN? (Is it time for me to upgrade....?)
Thanks,
jnr

Josh,

You can go to the Control Nesting update site and review the ADDED or FIXED items since 5.48:

Thanks Rick, I certainly could have checked that and saved you the trouble. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Glad to see it's fixed - so I guess it is time to upgrade after all!
