Error 80090016

Post by Rob Davis »

I am getting this error message today when I write a CNC TWD file for 3 cabinets. This is new this morning. ANy suggestions? It is fo r3 cabinets that I modified the decks with a constraint manager cut. If I answer OK to the error message, it will generate a TWD file but I am guessing it is corrupted at the machine. I am downloading to the machine now and will let you know if it runs or not. Thanks.

File is corrupt, as suspected.

I tried to do the same problem I had from an Aug 10 post by loading DAO file from eCab CD and also double clicking the THMCRYPT icon from disk. Then I went abck and rebuilt the cabients by Constr Settings OK, resaved and regrouped as new job name and still an error. Any ideas? Apparently I have had this issue before so is it me?

Rob,

What version of the Control Nesting are you using and are you having any issues with other TWD files? Can you please post the twd file so I can take a look at it?.

Rob,

Sorry about the confusion. I was under the impression the issue was at the controller.

For everyone else's information, The issue was resolved by removing the crypto folder in the user's documents and settings and then running the thmcrypt file from a command prompt.

URGENT! I also get this "crypt acquire context" error when I attempt to create CNC files. please give more details on how to correct this. What is this crypto folder or file? I do not have the CD. I recently downloaded v6 Build 4 from the site. That is the version I am using.

You will need to copy the thmcrypt.exe file onto the machine. Then you will need to delete the crypto folder there and rerun the exe file from a command prompt. If you have any issues or questions, call me at 1-800-221-3865 ext 245.

Stephen, IMPORTANT, IMPORTANT that you are logged on as the administrator, not just have administrator rights. When I write TWD files now, I must log off as me and relog in as administrator in order for the computer to use the crypt file. I don't know why or how, I just have to even though I am the sole user of this laptop and I have all the administrator rights when logged in as me. (I am not a computer guru at all!)
Anyway, if you have a login issue, that will also trip you up forever. I tried to copy the crypt files onto my username but no luck. Must be administrator.
(My computer has an administrator login so when the network guy comes in to clean viruses and stuff he has a separate login. Apparently he has more clout than the owner of the place as far as my computer is concerned!!!)
