My First Grandson

Hey Guys

Last night at 10:31 PM I became a Grandpa. He weighted 5.1 lbs and that is because he was born 7 weeks early.

My daughter and him are doing fine.

Congratulations Gary, to you and your daughter.

Glad to hear both of them are doing well.

Our 3rd child and 1st son is just 3 weeks old. So we can sympathize with the sleepless nights she will be experiencing.

I have three grandaughters 1,2 and 3!!
My first grandson will be here no later than this Friday!!!
I hope to have him pulling a bow and climbing mountains by 3!!
There a blast, have fun with them, discipline is not our problem!

Well said Michael!!!

I said the same thing a couple of weeks ago to my father, who well meaningfully growls just a little sooner than we do.

I'm not saying that Grandparents shouldn't discipline, they should it is important. Just step back and wait till you really need to. Dad was alienating himself from the kids. So rather than telling them off himself he how tells us, quietly, and we tell the kids off. He gets to be the good guy.

Enjoy your grandkids, let the parents do the dirty work.

Oh Yeah,skip the kids, go straight to the grand kids......

Gary, my 1 yr old and 3 yr old lived with me for 18 months, cried like a baby when they left.....
Thought I might enjoy the peace after they were gone, but it sucks.....
