Help with rendering

Hello all,
I don't know what's wrong with me, but I promised someone a rendering for a job.....which is something I thought I remembered how to do, but I've got a question now...
Is there a way to omit a part of a cabinet from the rendering? For example, I had to install a fixed shelf as "do not cut" material, but I don't want it rendered - do I have the ability to do that only for rendering purposes?

Josh, I'm not aware of being able hide a shelf. You could try taking the cabinet into the CE and deleting the shelf then saving it under a modified name and then replacing the old cabinet in your rendering. I know it's a few steps, but I don't know of any other way.

Yeah, unfortunately I have to have the shelf to get the drawers the way I want them, so can't delete it....
Oh well, I'm muddling through, and boy is there a lot to learn about all this rendering stuff! holy cow, I don't know how you guys do it.
I've got the machining end of things figured out, but this rendering is killing me!

Josh,

There is a way to do what you want. Take your cabinet to the cabinet editor and replace the fixed shelf with a display panel. Then in the room layout go to show hide and hide the display part.

Josh, you can do a front inset. Enter the shelf width -1/32" .
