Creating Walls

Post by Leo Graywacz »

I guess I haven't created a new room since I did the last upgrade, because it worked fine then.

I have a problem trying to create single walls. Normally I give a starting point of 0,0 and then I move the mouse and it creates a wall in the vertical or horizontal plane. I type in the length of the wall and it creates it. But now, in the box where you type the length of the wall it is always a blue highlighted area and will only show what the existing wall is pulled out to using the mouse. If you type something in there it is instantly replaced with the current position of the mouse pulled wall length. So now I can't make the lengths of the wall to what I need.

Anyone else have this issue?

Leo -- I just tried mine and it works just fine. I pulled a wall out and typed a length and hit enter and there it was.

I can do a work around, but is slows things down.

I have to make the wall and click the mouse to finalize the wall, and then re enter a new wall length and it will change it. Better than nothing, but not normal.

Leo,

Try this when you are in the room layout and you are going to start a wall just right click the mouse draw the wall bigger than you want then type in the dim. hit enter. You don't have to give a wall a X0 Y0 starting point no matter how big the room is the program centralizes the room.
Did that work ?

Seems to be working fine now. No idea why. I rebooted the program and the computer, shut down all the programs I was running. Nothing worked yesterday.

Today, works fine. Go figure. :wall:
