A Thermwood could be handy

I had to cut and groove some arches with a 27 foot radius. I thought you might get a kick out of my "Router"

Its footprint was a little large so it had to go outside.

I feel there are 2 kinds of people that use eCabinets, those that have a Thermwood CNC and those of us that dream of having one.

That sign used to say "Kerry Fullington Custom Cabinet" This spring my wife opened a retail Greenhouse and now my sign is sitting behind the shop until I can find a new place for it.

I'd recognize that machine anywhere. The KF 1000. From memory it has a tolerance factor of about 1/16" and had a few stability issues.
It's not too bad a model,………….. once it’s up and running.

Sometimes you just wish it didn't take so long to setup and had a bit more flexibility. (Not torsional flexibility, it has plenty of that )

Won't you void your warranty if you don't keep it under cover?

I am keeping the pendulum until the job is finished. It never fails that I ruin one of the curved parts pushing them though the shaper.

Where would the adventure be with that.

This was an experiment, I normally use a pattern to cut these long radius arcs but that too is time consuming. It actually worked pretty well if you don't force anything, the pendulum guided the router to create a nice arc. The Thermwood is still better.
