Grouping Stretchers?

Post by Pete Sid »

Hey Guys.

Is there a way, or a work around for grouping stretchers. I am using stretchers on the front of my cabinet as a design feature, and would like to group them for grain continuity.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Peter,

Stretchers do not allow for grouping at this time. If you attach the cabinet that you are working with, maybe I can come up with an idea for you to get what you want.

You could place them in you job as a display panel and add the total length or width and add them as one part, then separate later at the saw. I do this for tall refrigerator panels that I want a continuous grain pattern.

Does this make sense?

Thanks Guys....

Jon,

I was thinking that.... as that would work, just hoping to get as much done on the router as possible. I might need to go that route though.

Thanks again!

Since the program only "Group" matches doors or drawer fronts, why not make a "dummy" cabinet (I'd use an upper cabinet), remove all of the carcass components, then install the number of doors (stretchers) you need at the desired size. Then "Group" the doors.
