CN 5.58 pocketing / rout dado bug

Post by Josh Rayburn »

T5 set up for pocketing, but not rout / dado
As I understood it, CN is supposed to scroll through the pocketing tools in order to find the first pocketing tool set up...??
T20 called for pocket, T5 called for the blind dado operation (it is not even set up to do that)
Please enlighten me

Josh,

Just wanted to give you an update, I have reviewed the information that you supplied and see that the pocketing and dado feature seem to have issue with your scenario. I've submitted to engineering for further review and will be sure to let you know once I get a response.

Update regarding this issue:

5.60 will have tooling selection fixed so that tools marked Pocket and NOT Rout/Dado will only be used for pockets.

It will also have tooling selection fixed so that tools marked Rout/Dado and NOT Pocketing will only be used for Dados and Routs (centerline & chain).

The Pocket tool selection is down from largest diameter to smallest.
