flipop first problem with offall

Post by Forrest Chapman »

Ryan,

Sorry for the delay on these files. When using the flip ops first function and offalls we get an out of bounds on the cleanup pass and it is starting on the wrong side. Hope you see what I'm talking about in the files.

Forrest

Ryan I will send the other files direct to you.

Is this because the machine is getting into the toolchange safety zone? You can verify this by first making sure there is an M48 in the top of the program to allow full control over all movements in program, then after NC RESET of control, enter a line of code at TOP of program "M61L34". This will over-ride the safety zone. Be sure to watch all movements and to ensure tool is at safe distance from toolchange positions while machine is running.

Note: Thermwood can NOT be held responsible for damages that could occur because of tool to tool holder contact when over-ride is ON (M61L34).

Ryan, I don't have to run it to know it is indeed getting into the tool zone on end of table. But it is also starting on the opposite corner its supposed to. Only on an offall sheet.

Forrest,

Your going to have to explain in greater detail what it is that your experiencing. I do not know what you mean by starting in wrong corner. As far as off-fall issues, there is currently a know issue where parts are cut into when trimming the actual off-fall piece, this is known and planned for fix in 5.60. Work around for the current off-fall issue for now is to simply not cut off-fall pieces.

Ryan,
When doing "flip ops first" my machine trims down the long edge opposite from the head and pins and then across the end where the tools and end pin are located. When using this function with an off fall piece it will start in the corner by the head and back up off the end of the table and into my tools. It tries to do the trim function from the wrong corner.
