Unfortunately it has just now occured to me to post this issue, and it's 10 o'clock at night, so I can't confirm my suspicion by looking at the G-code, but has anyone else noticed this on drilled through-holes created in the Part Editor? Maybe the fix could make it into CN5.6?

Part Editor holes
This is something I've been meaning to bring up for a long time. On slab doors, we usually put part editor cuts (5mm holes) for mounting door and drawer handles so the machine will drill them. It drills them fine, but consistently doesn't go quite all the way through, leaving a very thin skin; my guess here is that it is not obeying the extra cut-through depth (which we have set at .2mm) specified in the Control Nesting settings.

I've adjusted my daylight values to compensate for this issue since the only thing I allow my 5mm upcutter to do is drill. I never knew it was supposed to obey the additional cut-through depth, I always thought that was only for outline operations, but if I'm wrong that would be great if it was fixed up.

Yes, the cut through depth in CN SETTINGS only applies to the ouline operations. In regards to other operations cutting past actual thinckness of part, this would have to be performed by changing the Daylight for given tooling in the THM control Tool Manager.

Jeremy, If you look closely at the hole I bet the brad point tip is coming thru but is longer than the outside cutting tips. We just add a small amount to the daylight to compensate for this.

I'm not using a brad-point, just a 5mm upspiral. But it didn't occur to me to adjust the daylight, and since that is the only operation performed by this tool, that'll be a fine solution. Thanks!
