Problem with part editor
I downloaded the newer version 6.5 (compete new install). When I try to take a display cube into the part editor, nothing shows up?? Am I doing something wrong? When I was creating a countertop/ sink assembly I didn't have a problem, since then, when I try to load a display cube into the editor the work area is blank.
The only DUMB question is the one you don't ask!

Re: Problem with part editor
George, can you post the display cube so we can take a look at it?

John
I started out fresh today. I was going to take a series of screen shots to show you what I meant, damn if the thing didn't work perfectly this time. Now this morning I'm having a problem placing some molding around the ceiling. I got 1 piece placed but when I went to place the second piece I couldn't see it to move it in the elevation/wall view. I can see it in overhead and in render but the stupid thing won't show up in elevation mode. I shut the program down (saved the layout first) then tried opening the program again, same thing.
Off topic, what graphics card is best for this program? I have an old one that I want to replace. I have attached my system specs. George

Re: Problem with part editor
Hi George!
I get that every once in a while that something isn't working and then I restart and it works just fine. If you see it again, try and list the steps that you took in getting to that point and then the programmers have a better chance of reproducing the error and in turn fixing it, if it is a problem.
Here is the link to the ecab web sit for the recommended system specs regarding your video card. http://www.ecabinetsystems.com/ecabinet ... system.htm
I use an Nvidia Quadro fx 4600 and I have been pretty happy with it.

Re: Problem with part editor
It did it again today. I'm messing around working on a trestle table using display cubes. I wanted to do a little more trimming on the stretcher. I highlighted it, clicked on part editor and nothing. I tried several times same result. I'm sure it's something I'm not doing right. Here are a couple of shots of what I mean.
George
Sorry they aren't a little clearer, reducing the size (from original screenshot) also reduces clarity.George
