Hello - I'm printing out some nest diagrams and see some incorrect dimensions. The cutlist under the diagram is reversing some dimensions - the diagram is correct, but the cutlist is reversed. Which will cause major problems when we're cutting up nice expensive material. The parts are doors, from cabinets that are part of assemblies. There are no part editor alterations.
I was able to track it down - those doors are grouped together (double doors). The other doors that are not grouped together are reading correctly. This looks like a bug to me - any thoughts?
Ok, a little help here - it's happening again. This time on display panels. Small panels have their dimensions switched on nest diagram. I need some Thermwood help here, please.
Also, I'd like to point out the giant arrow head - that was because no matter how I changed the arrow settings in LDE, no changes appeared in ecabs - only when I printed to a pdf. This is another awesome feature.... By "awesome" I mean irritating, and by "feature" I mean bug.
It's not the job Jason. Anything you nest shows up as width and height being as you look at the sheet. It should be showing width and length as per the grain of the sheet stock.
Sorry, I'm not quite catching that - are you saying the job is nesting correctly for you?
Normally in nest diagram, it lists dimensions as you see them on the diagram, not related to grain direction. Is this correct, or has my stuff been messed up for years?
From what I understand the nest is giving us an elevation of the part. Hence the width running left to right and height running top to bottom. I think it should show us the dimensions of the part in width x length.
Yah, I'm used to dimensions shown as you say, in relation to the grain of the piece. But I've gotten accustomed to ecabs method, and it makes sense - sometimes the material has no grain direction, and it takes less thinking to cut if the dimensions are related to the diagram. I want to minimize the thinking....
Thanks for your help Rick - now hopefully the Thermwood Overlords have some comments? Hello?
