setting material thinckness

Now i set my material thickness for cabinets when I write twd file in e-cabinets. I physically measure the material as I am creating the file.
no problem because I am in same room as router and controler.

If I wanted to write the twd file at a different location, (for example at home) how would I change the material thickness to actual ?
What do you guys normally do? Do you measure check every board? what are your tolerences for averaging thickness?

Hey Jim

Because Board can vary all over it i've always set any board i have to .3, E.g 18mm White board is set to 18.3mm, MDF is just 18mm. and all colour board is .3

Do any of you measure material thickness when it is delivered and then keep a log or track material that is being used for certain job?

We do when its ply wood. But most of our MDF or chipboard is .3 maybe up to .5 or down to .2 but dont think that would matter much.
