which software

I am almost ready to make the next step.
I have become good profiecient at e-cabinets for cabinets and simple shapes.
I would like to do more....
scale and convert dwg / dxf files into workable files either for e-cabinets or the thermwood controler,
scale and convert other drawing files, such as pdf, jpeg, tiff, into workable dxf files.
create splines and letters and other intricate shapes, breaking away from only arcs and ines.
carving and three dimensional shapes.
is there one software package which will allow me to doo all of this and write g code for My thermwood 43?

You can check out Aspire, and see if that suits you.

Jim,
The only issue with Aspire is it will only output lines, no arcs. This makes curves a little choppy, but it's a lot cheaper and in some ways more flexible than a full blown CAD package which seems like the other logical choice to accomplish what you're describing.

its not so much the money as the time.
I would rather take the time to learn one soft ware package that will meet all my needs rather then learn one that will fall short.

You may want to look at Artcam Pro. We are a reseller of this software and it can do everything you are wanting as far as I know.

Josh,

Vectric's software will use arcs if you use a post with arcs turned on. The guys at Vectric sent me a post with arcs and it works great. I use it weekly.
