Good morning,
I am experiencing a tooling error which I can't understand....
Attached is the job file, code, and the export.
Sheet 3 is asking for a tool between 0.237 and 0.119 and I do not know why.
Tenons are set to 51% of 0.475" material (0.24225)+ 0.013" fit clearance = 0.25525"
I thought that should be enough clearance to get the 1/4" tool in there.
In fact, I changed the 1/4" tool in tooling setup to .2" and wrote the code, then changed it back to .25" before running the job and all was good.
I still cannot explain why the tooling error occured though.
Any help or insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!
jnr

Re: Tooling error
I looked at your cabinet and you have the thickness set to 50% of .475. This is where it is getting the .237 to .119. It does not take into account the clearance when selecting the tool. Hope this helps.

Re: Tooling error
So the tooling selection is based ONLY on the percentage of material thickness? Never knew that. Thanks Daniel, appreciate the response.
FYI the .twd is at 51% but I forgot to save the changes to the job file. But I guess if I'd done 53% it would have worked then.
Thank you!
